As the war in Ukraine has been going on since February 24 last year, journalist Margarita Simonyan said that "Russia will defeat the entire Western world."

According to foreign media, Ms. Simonyan made the comments on Russian state television while showing a clip shared by Ukrainian official Anton Gerashchenko and telling panelists that the Kremlin would defeat the West.

The Kremlin is at war with NATO, after defeating Ukraine in the "first two or three days" of the war, Simonyan claimed.

"So now there is a war with NATO on the territory of Ukraine", she adds.

Ms Simonyan, who is editor-in-chief of Russia's state-controlled media organization RT, says some people call the ongoing crisis in Ukraine a "military operation" and others a "war" but she "doesn't see much of a difference" between these two ways.

“Just think, what will happen when we win this war? I deliberately say not if we win, I say when we win, because I don't even want to think about "if", God willing", she said.

"So when we win this war, we will not win Ukraine, we will not win Artemivsk (the Soviet name for Bakhmut), we will win Vuhledar", added the journalist.

"Just think about it, we will defeat the entire Western world, which is now sending weapons with all its powers", concluded the journalist.
