The 114-year-old has problems with her pension, ISSH reacts and discloses the latest information: Here's what happened

After the publication of the case of non-granting of pension to 114-year-old Qamile Marra in Kuçovo, the Institute of Social Insurance reacted. In the official response, it is said that "the allusions that the pension has been stopped due to old age are not true and even malicious".

It is also informed that as of today, the pension payment for the elderly woman has been made, while it is clarified that the delay has lasted 6 days due to the verification procedures.

"Based on the case recently published in the media regarding Mrs. Qamile Metan Marra, 114 years old, pensioner, we clarify that:

ISSH, for every payment it makes, also realizes the accuracy of the payments through continuous checks. Based on the risk analysis, regional structures periodically check the livelihood of the beneficiaries over 100 years old through a double check, that of the status in the citizen register and physical contact of the beneficiaries. This is also due to the fact that all pensioners over 100 years of age authorize other persons to withdraw their pension.

In this context, the verification for Mrs. Qamile Marra was carried out yesterday on January 26, and a payment was generated by the Berat Regional Directorate of Social Insurance yesterday. Today, January 27, the payment of the pension of the lady near the apartment was made by the Albanian Post as paying agent.

We emphasize that the delay in the payment of the lady's pension, due to the verification, is 6 days and the allusions that the pension was stopped due to her old age are not true and even malicious.

The Institute of Social Insurance wishes long life to Mrs. Qamile and all the beneficiary pensioners and expresses its commitment to the correct implementation of the law for their payments and checks," the reaction says.
