The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, during her stay in Poland within the Ministry of Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation, held a meeting with the Secretary of the US Department of Energy, Jennifer Granholm.
Through a post on social networks, Balluku announces that he discussed with Secretary Granholm on Albania's progress in terms of reform in the energy sector, as well as in justice or to improve the business climate.
We reconfirmed the mutual commitment for close and coordinated cooperation, Balluku wrote referring to the meeting with the Secretary of the US Department of Energy, as well as we considered the possibilities for new joint projects.
"I am honored to hold a long and constructive meeting with the Secretary of the US Department of Energy, Jennifer Granholm, where we discussed at length Albania's progress towards reform in the energy sector, as well as in justice or to improve the business climate. The Ministerial Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation (P-TECC) held in Poland was organized under the auspices of the US Department of Energy. The P-TECC initiative was created as an opportunity to increase cooperation between the United States and Eastern and Central European countries on energy security and the transition to clean, carbon-neutral economies.
