The well-known Albanian MP and her family are threatened with their lives, the last details are revealed

After reports of death threats against her and her family, the member of the Assembly of Kosovo, Duda Balje, has confirmed the case. She said that the person who threatened her, with the initials BS, is now in 30-day detention.

Balje said that he made the report to the police on January 16.

"All of us who have a little bit of popularity in the country where we live, more and more often we have to deal with people who are trying in unethical ways to gain a little public attention. In many such cases, I have not reacted at all. However, this time, through this post, I would like to make a clarification for public opinion regarding an article that has circulated today on our portals regarding a case where I was the victim of threats and blackmail by the person with the initials BS Dated January 16, 2023, I have reported a case to the police and prosecutorial authorities after I was threatened over the phone with my life and that of my family. The threat was serious and was made with direct intent by a person with full criminal responsibility. Consequently, on January 17, 2023, at the request of the prosecution, the court assigned the suspect BS the measure of detention for an initial duration of 30 days. According to the information that I have as a victim of the case, the suspect has fully accepted the guilt for the criminal offenses that are being judged", wrote Balje.

She did not provide more information regarding this case, saying that the court process has not yet ended and that she does not want to influence the case in any way, Express reports.

"I fully trust the judicial bodies in the state of Kosovo and I hope that justice will say its meritorious word in this case. Let me emphasize that I will always be an enemy of violence against women in whatever form it may appear. Every woman who has been a victim of violence in our country, for me, is a hero and a lesson that we must learn as a country. Regarding my case, I confirm that I am grateful for the timely and correct response of the police, the prosecution and the court. However, I must add that this case that happened to me, could happen to anyone tomorrow. Therefore, I find it important that all of us are unique against violence against women, in this battle that is everyone's. Allow me to especially thank the media and portals for the correctness they have shown in my case but also in other similar cases".

Në gjykimin tim, B.S. është person me aftësi të mëdha manipuluese të cilat i shfrytëzon për përfitime të ndryshme, qoftë edhe për vëmendje të publikut. Sipas vlerësimit tim, ky person në aspektin shkencor psikologjik është mjaft jostabil dhe për pasojë është shumë i rrezikshëm për viktimat që përzgjedh ai. Sidoqoftë unë dhe familja ime aktualisht kemi arritur të qetësohemi nga ky rast dhe po ndjehemi mjaft të sigurt në duart e institucioneve shtetërore”, ka shkruar deputetja.
