Today, the Special Court passed the file for the Fier incinerator for trial. The judge has asked the Prosecutor's Office to change the charges against former official Alqi Blako and Arben Dervishaj and several other persons from charges of corruption of high state officials to public officials.
Lawyer Brizida Gjikondi was asked if the change in the charge changes the positions of the accused. "It relieves them because it takes them out of the hands of SPAK and takes them to the hands of the prosecution where the criminal offense occurred," said the lawyer during an interview on a TV show.
"The change of the charge causes Mr. Lefter Koka, Blako and others to position themselves and be evaluated with another type of assessment of the measure. I would not exclude the fact of the cooperation of the defendants with justice where they can show the schemes how they worked", said the lawyer.
