The Rapid Intervention Forces and those of the police station no. 6 in Kombinat, at the end of today, have undertaken a wide action in the "Astir" area, checking every suspicious person and vehicles that move with foreign license plates.
The police station's action plan was carried out with the aim of stopping any armed person, who carries drugs or any illegal item.
Journalist Elton Qyno has provided video footage of this action, where the National Security Service and police station no. 6 are conducting checks on vehicles, various persons and facilities such as bars, billiards or "Play Station" points.
After the ultimatum of the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, for the capture of any person who moves with a weapon or any illegal item, this control practice during this time has become a routine activity of the police.
Recently, such checks were carried out in Tirana, Vlorë, Lezhë, Durrës, Korçë, Pogradec, enabling the arrest of several people who were carrying weapons and drugs.
