What were they planning? They tried to enter Albania through Rinas, 2 Iranian citizens who came from Germany were deported

A woman and a man, born in Iran, with German citizenship, after arriving at Rinas airport, they were denied entry to Albania.

Afshin Kalantari together with Soltani Batool were denied entry and asked to return from where they had traveled to Germany.

They refused to do so and were held for 72 hours at the airport and then deported to Germany.

The border police notified the Anti-Terror Directorate of the State Police as soon as the two Iranians presented an invitation from the ASILA association created to help Iranians living in Albania.

Around this association, those who deserted the MEK are united.

The invitation stated that Afshin Kalantari and Soltani Batool would attend a ceremony of their Iranian friend, who came to Albania from Germany.

Two weeks ago, by order of SPAK prosecutors, ASILA's offices were searched by BKH officers.

The association ASILA is under investigation for its connection with the regime of Iran and actions aimed at harming the security of MEK members sheltered in our country.

The detention of two Iranians with German citizenship comes a week after the cancellation of the annual summit of the Iranian opposition for security reasons.

This is not the first case that Iranians with German passports have been deported from Albania.

In 2018, the State Police said they prevented a terrorist attack on the Bektashi Grand Mosque.

The Iranians with the initials F. Z, 65, and SM, 59, were detained by the State Intelligence Service and the anti-terrorist unit of the state police.

At the time of the arrest, the two Iranians were taking photos and told the anti-terror officers that they were journalists and had come at the invitation of the Bektashi World Supreme Court.

A year later, the then director of the state police Ardi Veliu stated that "The terrorist cell belongs to the external operations unit of the QUDS Forces, an operational unit considered clandestine and secret, which is responsible for the planning and implementation of terrorist activity outside Iran".

All Iranians arriving at Albania's border entry points are subject to multiple checks to detect and prevent the entry of agents of the secret operational unit KUDS.
