Euronews Albania journalist Eni Ferhati reported that the Special Prosecutor's Office has not yet had an official response regarding the arrest warrants for the former officials of the Durrës municipality, among them the former mayor Vangjush Dako.
The latter was asked a few months ago in the Special Prosecutor's Office precisely about this investigation led by the SPAK prosecutor, Sotir Kllapi.
Abuse of office and falsification of documents are the accusations that burden the former officials in two separate episodes.
"The first concerns a building which is suspected to have been given a driving permit twice abusing the duty in this form, while on the other hand, according to preliminary information not officially confirmed, it is also about another procurement procedure in relation to a consultancy provided by the Municipality of Durrës, but for this second one we still do not have detailed information," Ferhati reported.
