Albania has had 44 years without updating the seismic risk map, which serves to determine the structure of housing by builders.

Engineer specialized in seismology, Markel Baballeku gave details on the situation in the country. While he showed how endangered the houses in the country are from an earthquake of the magnitude of November 26, 2019.

"The map is still from '79, with its own updates and changes," he says.

Engineer Baballeku spoke about technological development in the construction sector, while taking Japan as an example, as the country with the most progress in preventing damage from earthquakes.
