Harxhi sheds light on the background of the starting point of border tensions and reveals Kurt's mistakes that "shaken" diplomatic relations

The former deputy foreign minister of Albania, Edit'h Harxhi, was invited to the show "Log." of journalist Endri Xhafo, has commented on the situation in the north of Kosovo.

Harxhi emphasized that such a situation is not accidental, but everything that is happening has its origin because of the aggravated situation in the Balkans for two years.

According to her, during this period, Serbia and Vucic have not shown any desire to move forward with the path of dialogue, but they have clearly created obstacles.

"Everything evolved yesterday with the attack on KFOR soldiers. Aleksandar Vucic is the one who is trying to provoke a conflict in the Balkans. Even Lavrov's statement shows that we are heading towards an escalation of the situation.

The tensions in Kosovo are also a consequence of the aggravated situation in the Balkans for two years and Serbia's lack of desire to dialogue with Kosovo and to sanction Russia.

If we are going to take part in the elections in Kosovo, in the 3 municipalities in the north, of course these 3 municipalities must be run by people chosen by them, despite the fact that they did not participate in the voting. I think a middle ground had to be found. Vucic was the one who did not sign the Ohrid agreement. I was sorry that Kurti made a unilateral signature", said the former Deputy Minister.

Ndekrohë Harxhi emphasized that Kurti should have extended the discussion to a wider political level, meeting with all the leaders of the opposition parties.

"The sending of 3 Albanian mayors to areas with a Serbian majority had to be consulted very well. Mr. Kurti should have measured himself very well and consulted the political factor in Kosovo. Dialogue requires all parties to the table. The dialogue should have been on a political level and not on a technical level, as led by Kurti, who met 2-3 times separately with the leaders of the opposition", said Harxhi.
