The investigation into the "McGonigal" scandal, journalist Hoxha sheds light on the behind-the-scenes: It seems as if stories are repeated with different characters

Journalist Anila Hoxha, invited to the studio of the "Open" show, spoke about the case of former FBI agent Charles McGonigal and his connections with Prime Minister Rama and Albania.

Hoxha stated that if SPAK's response regarding this matter is returned, it is written that the criminal proceedings have not been registered, while adding that in the end it is possible to go to letters of order, a way to get legal assistance from another country, in this case case from USA.

On the other hand, the former Prosecutor of Serious Crimes, Eugen Beçi, said that the anonymous proceeding is a recording of the criminal fact, which then leads to the investigation of whether there is such an offense in order to postpone the investigation on the author of the offense.

According to him, in order to complete this action, evidence will be needed, for which a letter of order from abroad comes into play, but if there is sufficient evidence in Albania, there will be no need. However, Beçi stated that everything remains in the hands of SPAK and how much will the Special Prosecutor's Office will have.

Hoxha: If you look back at SPAK's response, it is clear that it is written for the investigative needs of the report. The criminal proceedings have not been registered, it is very clear. SPAK has 6 more days, it is a necessary procedural move. It seems like stories repeat themselves with different characters, it seems like the case of Nick Muzin. In the end, he went back to the order letters. This will be the next move, the special prosecutors will have only one solution, they will register it anonymously as part of the verification. Dumani said that there would be an official reaction from SPAK on this matter.

Beçi: The anonymous procedure is the registration of the criminal act and this fable is investigated if there is a criminal act. If a criminal offense is established that is suspected to have been committed by an Albanian citizen, the prosecution registers the case related to the criminal fact and further investigations find the perpetrators of the criminal offense to determine the name of the perpetrator. Registration without a name acknowledges the criminal fact. Evidence can also be obtained through other diplomatic missions such as embassies, everything depends on the will of SPAK, as it can be proven with evidence and witnesses in Albania.
