A 44-year-old man has fallen into the hands of the Elbasan police, after being accused of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.

It is learned that a citizen with the initials GD 44 years old, who works as an Inspector in the Tax Directorate in the Municipality of Elbasan, has been handcuffed by the police.

As part of the "Kral" operation, it was possible to seize a Kalashnikov firearm, a sport rifle with binoculars, about 500 rounds of ammunition for pistols, Kalashnikovs and machine guns, a punch amplifier, a knife and 7 cartridges.

Pursuant to the plan of measures for the control of persons carrying illegal weapons, based on the information provided on the operational road and the follow-up with proactive methods, the police operation codenamed "Kral" was organized and finalized, within which the arrest was made. in flagrance of the citizen:

During the search of the 44-year-old's apartment, the Police Services found and seized a Kalashnikov firearm, a sport rifle with binoculars, about 500 rounds of ammunition for a pistol, a Kalashnikov and a machine gun, a punch amplifier, a knife and 7 cartridges.

The above evidence was sent to the Scientific Police Institute in Tirana to be examined if it was used in other criminal events.

"Work is also continuing for further legal documentation of this event and the criminal activity of this citizen if he is implicated in criminal events that occurred before," said the police notice.
