The well-known Albanian singer appears before the court, risks up to 5 years in prison, this is what he is accused of

The singer, Sinan Vllasaliu, risks up to 5 years in prison after being accused of having damaged the state 24 thousand 270 euros and 98 cents, avoiding taxes.

According to the tax inspector, Fidan Tolaj, the charges brought against him were based on the data that TAK has established as tax liabilities to Vllasali and these based on the information they received from the posts of music clubs on social networks where he was invited to perform the singer.

Tolaj stated that these clubs inside Kosovo were also inspected by the Kosovo Police, while they had no information about those outside the country except for the posters they posted on social networks.

At the court session, the TAK inspector testified regarding the investigations and inspections that TAK had done regarding the singer Sinan Vllasaliu for his tax obligations, adding that every income must be declared to TAK even if the taxes were done abroad.

According to Tolaj, the criminal complaint filed by TAK has been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office with the attached evidence.

Vllasali's defense lawyer, Florent Latifaj, disputed the inspector's statements, stating that TAK did not prepare the final report as it was supposed to.

Sipas inspektorit, Vllasaiu është paraqitur si tatim pagues i rregullt për vitet 2011-2013 kurse për vitet pasuese 2014-2016 mungojnë këto deklarime.

According to the indictment filed on May 2, 2018, by the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Prishtina, Sinan Vllasaliu is being charged with the criminal offense of "tax evasion".

With this, he is accused of having committed the criminal offense "Tax evasion" from Article 313, paragraph 2 related to paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, this offense is punishable by a fine and imprisonment of six (6) months up to five (5) years.
