A serious accident occurred in the neighborhood "Çelepias" in Berat. A 68-year-old man was hit by a car while cycling on the white lines of the road.
After the collision, the Volkswagen Passat type vehicle, with license plate AA 590 FC, dragged him for several meters and then stopped.
The elderly Agim Mingu crashed unconscious on the asphalt of the road, until the arrival of the ambulance that transported him to the Regional Hospital of Berat.
Hospital doctors confirm that he is in the operating room and his condition is critical.
Many police officers have arrived at the scene, and they are also investigating the accident site, while the security cameras of the surrounding businesses are being searched, which will shed light on the dynamics of the accident.
Official police sources confirm that the driver of the Volkswagen Passat was escorted to the premises of the Berat Police Station, where he is giving his testimony about the incident. Sources from witnesses at the scene confirm that the vehicle that caused the accident was traveling at a speed of large in this residential area.
