Former senior head of the State Police, Shemsi Prençi spoke today about the serious event that occurred in Commissariat no. 3 of Tirana, where an officer shot dead his colleague.

Prençi said that this was due to the recruitment process in the police, which according to him was entirely political. He added that in the last 8 or 9 years, as a result of political recruitments, persons who are drug users and have personality problems were employed in the state police.

"Behind the slogan 'the police we want' are hidden many things and crimes and banalities committed against the police organization. For several years the recruitment process in the state police has been completely political. Mass drug users, with personality problems, cultivators of narcotic plants have been recruited. This makes you wonder why the state police is seen as a lure for patronagers and SP youth forums. This has been proven because within 2 months we have some serious events within the police commissariats.
