Only in the last two days, 7 thefts were recorded in the country, 4 in businesses and 3 in apartments. The police was able to unravel the events and arrest the perpetrators, but the thefts still remain a problem.

Compared to a year ago, there is a decrease in cases, but the worrying fact is that most of the perpetrators are repeat offenders or recruit minors to commit this criminal offense.

Tirana, Durrës, Fieri and Vlora are the most problematic cities in terms of theft of homes or businesses.

Perpetrators target holiday homes or expatriate homes where they take money or valuables. These thefts are difficult for the police to identify as the owners themselves find out about the theft days or weeks later.

From January to September, 350 thefts were registered in our country, of which the police were able to solve 150 cases and 270 people were arrested.

During these months, the police has focused on clarifying past events, so in 25 different operations, over 100 thefts that occurred during the past two years have been clarified.

The most recent case was recorded in the capital, where two 16-year-olds were arrested who had robbed 2 mobile phone shops.

The minors were caught driving without a license and armed with a handgun.
