The hearing for former minister Fatmir Mediu, who is accused of the incident in Gërdec where 26 people lost their lives, has been postponed. The session, which started at 2:00 p.m., was expected to determine the start or not of the review of the file.
The hearing will now be held on April 4 of this year. Meanwhile, the Durdaj family is irritated after the Court decided to ask the parties if they will be called to be part of the process.
Zamira Durda, the mother of the 7-year-old boy who lost his son in the Gërdec tragedy, said: We made a request but they did not call us. I don't know what decision they made because we were not in UK. We are requesting the opening of the Gërdeci case.
SPAK has sent for trial the former Minister of Defense, Fatmir Mediu, who is accused of in connection with the process of demilitarization and dismantling of ammunition that took place in the premises of the former "Tank Brigade", in the village of Gërdec, in collaboration with other officials of the Ministry of Defense, as well as persons who have had the quality of military personnel in command, issued several by-laws in violation of the law.
