High numbers of Covid infections and casualties have been recorded by Covid in Kosovo. According to the latest report from the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK), it results that out of 2835 tests, 498 new cases have been confirmed infected with Covid and 8 people have lost their lives.

"Within 24 hours, 8 deaths have been reported with SARS CoV-2 positive. Death cases are from the municipalities: Rahovec 2 cases (65, 50 years old), Ferizaj 1 case (61 years old), Fushë-Kosovë 1 case (76 years old), Kamenica 1 case (57 years old), Podujevë 1 case (73 years old) , Prishtina 1 case (67 years old), Mitrovica 1 case (84 years old). The total number of positive cases is 101,153 cases out of 496,611 suspects in the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 2,061 deaths ", it is stated in the report of NIPHK.

Also during the last 24 hours, 641 patients have been cured while the total number of cured to date is a total of 86,483 cases, while the number of active cases is 12,609.

“Positive cases are from the municipalities: Prishtina 104 cases, Gjilan 40 cases, Peja 35 cases, Ferizaj 33 cases, Mitrovica 32 cases, Vushtrri 31 cases, Fushë-Kosovë 27 cases, Gjakova 27 cases, Prizren 22 cases, Skenderaj 23 cases, Obiliq 18 cases, Podujeva 17 cases, Istog 12 cases, Malisheva 12 cases, Suhareka 12 cases, Lipjan 11 cases, Deçan 9 cases, Drenas 7 cases, Klina 6 cases, Shtime 6 cases, Year 6 cases, Kaçanik 3 cases, Kamenica 2 cases "Rahovec 2 cases, and one case the municipality of Hani i Elezit", the report states, among other things.
