The sequestration of Vis Martinaj's property, the family members make a sudden move

Ervis Martinaj's family members, since earlier the Special Prosecutor's Office seized his assets, have appealed to the Supreme Court. They request the removal of the seizure on the claim that the assets were created through legal sources. The case will be heard by the judge of the Supreme Court, Sandër Simoni.

We remind you that in February, the Special Court ordered the sequestration of 34 assets of Ervis Martinaj and his family members. According to the Court, there are reasonable doubts that these assets were located from illegal activity carried out by Martinaj, who has been missing for more than six months.
The assets that the court has approved for seizure are businesses, land, properties, cars, apartments and bank accounts, which appear in the name of Martinaj and his family members.

Martinaj was declared wanted by the police in May 2022, after he was mentioned by the repentant justice, Nuredin Dumani, as the organizer and orderer of the murder of Indri Dokles, but also as a member of a structured criminal group.
A few months ago, the director general of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, said that the authorities are working with mixed groups regarding the investigation into Martinaj's disappearance.
