Skënder Brataj warns of austerity measures: People who have public roles should be vaccinated
Written by SOT.COM.AL 4 Dhjetor 2021
The Director of the National Emergency, Skënder Brataj, has left open the possibility for austerity measures in Albania if the infection figures from Covid-19 will show that this is necessary.
In a phone call to "This Week", Brataj said that over 90% of hospitalized are unvaccinated. He further added that from the vaccines there were no complications or side effects.
"The Committee of Experts monitors the epidemiological situation and evaluates mitigation and austerity measures. We made a reminder of the measures in force, curfew, distance, etc. to come to the vaccination by medical staff, educators, public services. Vaccination takes time. Persons holding public roles should be vaccinated. Other states have layoffs, forcing those professions to vaccinate. If necessary we will tighten the measures. If a Green Pass is placed it should be monitored. The Green Pass is one of the most effective measures. There have been no complications from the vaccines. "Over 90% of those hospitalized are unvaccinated," he said.
Albania has closed its doors to South Africa following the alarm of the spread of the dangerous variant of Covid19, Omicron. But other restrictive measures have remained unchanged. In our country no one has been identified with Omicron.
