Hot temperatures continue, but find out when lightning and showers are expected

Very warm air currents are continuing over our territories, while the cold air front has set in and is now far to the northwest of the Old Continent. The cold front will advance and the closer it gets the more the temperatures will rise as the front pushes the high temperatures forward. With the penetration of the front (on Sunday), temperatures will drop and the atmosphere will react violently with powerful convective developments, which is expected to result in very intense rain showers with lightning, thunder and hail.

Locally there will be a chance of quite powerful thunderstorms and quite intense rainfall that can cause flash flooding. Until then increasingly hot, while the climax of the heat will be on Saturday when warm air accumulates in our territories before the "explosion" of the cold front that comes on Sunday.

Very intense rains are expected in many parts of Kosovo, some parts of North Macedonia, Montenegro and south and southeast of Albania. This front will come at an opportune moment, because the very high temperatures and the lack of precipitation have made the severity of dryness and heat very felt. The rains will be very welcome for cleaning the air and environment in general, while the decrease in temperatures will not be too great.
