The "sweet" envelope sinks the senior official, the testimony of the General Secretary of Health is revealed

"He told me it's something sweet and I remembered it was chocolate, but I haven't opened it yet", this is how the general secretary Joana Duro explained the presence of the money envelope in the office drawers.

An envelope given to you by her friend Laureta Sheto, with whom she worked in another institution, contained 330,000 Lek. This amount, considered as traces of corruption, was paid according to SPAK by the head of a private company identified as Vladimir Topi.

He represents the company announced as the winner in a tender worth nearly 800,000 lek that would reconstruct several health centers in two cities. SPAK admits to Top Channel that the administrator speaks quite openly with his subordinate and hints that he was opening the wallet as a sign of thanks to the official of the Ministry of Health, who was arrested three days after postponing the meeting with the other employee Laureta Shteto.

Both officials, at the request of SPAK, were released by the court as a measure of arrest and imprisonment.

The investigation began after interceptions on another matter. The file with four corruption suspects was separated in May, which coincides with the time when Topi's company was declared the winner. while the next investigation still started in January of this year.

Vladimir Topi and the engineer arrested for corruption will appear before the court this week, and as it is known, SPAK will also seek prison terms for them.
