A massive fire broke out at a police facility in the Egyptian city of Ismailia. As a result, it is said that at least 25 people were injured before the firefighters controlled the flames.
According to foreign media, images posted on social networks showed the building of the city's security directorate engulfed in flames. Two witnesses told Reuters that firefighters initially appeared to be struggling to put out the blaze.

More than three hours later, state television said the fire was under control. At least 25 people were injured in a preliminary death toll, the Egyptian Ambulance Authority said. Civil defense sources said that parts of the building had collapsed in the fire.
