The first "bomb" explodes between the USA and Russia, here is the journalist who can cause the "Third World War"

The first "bomb" explodes between the USA and Russia, here is the

Tensions between Russia and the United States of America peaked yesterday. The main security agency in Russia has arrested an American journalist who works for the newspaper "The Wall Street Journal" on charges of espionage. This is the first time since the Cold War period that an American correspondent has been arrested for espionage. After his arrest, the US State Department reiterated its strong warning about the dangers to US citizens inside the territory of the Russian Federation. The newspaper denied the allegations against journalist Evan Gershkovich. It only takes one spark between these two countries with tensions at their peak for the big war to break out. Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) announced yesterday that Gershkovich was detained in the city of Yekaterinburg while trying to obtain what they said was classified information. FSB, successor to the Soviet KGB, hinted that Mr. Gershkovich "was acting on orders from the United States to gather information about the activities of one of the Russian military industry enterprises, which are classified as a state secret." So Moscow directly targets the USA. Vladimir Putin himself said a few weeks ago that if the integrity of Russia is violated, they will use all means to protect the Russian people.

The newspaper denies Russia's accusations

The newspaper "The Wall Street Journal" stated that it "strongly denies the allegations" and that it demands the immediate release of Mr. Gershkovich. "We stand in solidarity with Evan and his family," the newspaper said. Reporters Without Borders said Mr. Gershkovich was researching an article about the Wagner Mercenary Group at the time he was arrested. In January, the United States announced sanctions against the Wagner Group, which has supported Russia's attack on Ukraine. In late 2022, the White House said the Wagner Group had deployed 50,000 fighters to Ukraine, most of them recruited from Russian prisons. The arrest comes amid heightened tensions between the West and Moscow over the war in Ukraine. Mr. Gershkovich is the first American journalist to be arrested on espionage charges since September 1986. when the KGB arrested journalist Nicholas Daniloff, correspondent in Moscow for the magazine "US News and World Report". He was released without charge 20 days later in exchange for an employee of the Soviet mission to the UN who had been arrested by the FBI.
