Attacks in Gaza/ Erdogan threatens Israel: It is testing our patience

Tayyip Erdogan attacked Israel again on Friday morning during his speech in Ankara.

"They are testing our patience with threats to use nuclear weapons, with the illusion of a promised land that includes our lands. Israel will be held responsible for the 10,000 people who have been killed. Of course, there will be responsibility for oppression.

Those who are accomplices in the same crime will be judged first by all humanity and then by history," said the Turkish president, among other things.

Referring to the situation in Gaza, Erdogan emphasized: "A disaster, a crime against humanity is happening before the eyes of the whole world. Those who forcibly occupied the land where the Palestinian people have lived for thousands of years are trying to build a state that has existed for only 75 years and whose legitimacy has been called into question by their own fascism."

Erdogan also spoke about Blinken's visit to Ankara.

"Israel did not start massacring Palestinians today. Its history dates back to 1947. These massacres began in 1947 and since then, in how many countries have the Palestinians found refuge?

Since the attacks began, the entire West, especially the United States, has been behind Israel. If Guterres made a truly admirable move, there are several reasons for this. And he is seeing the truth.

As Secretary General of the United Nations, he stands on the side of the righteous and the righteous," said the Turkish president and continued: "How many countries are close to America and Israel?

 There were 14 countries including America that voted at the United Nations to establish a humanitarian ceasefire. But 120 countries stood firm against them. Also, 40 or 41 countries abstained from voting.

These brave countries are sending a message to the whole world. "O America, as great as you are, you are not right, Israel is not right. The oppressed here are the ones in the right. These are the countries that really stand up for right and truth with the oppressed,” they say.

About Blinken's visit to Ankara and his meeting with Fidani, he said:

"Recently American Secretary of State Anthony Blinken visited Turkey and held several meetings with our Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. During the meetings, of course, some of our proposals were made to him by our Foreign Minister. 

For example, the 20-30 trucks entering Gaza today will become 500. Blinken described this as something positive.

Our hope is that if these 500 trucks pass, there will be some relief. Because medicine, food, especially water, all these are needed by the people in Gaza."

"When it comes to policy change in America, there is such an atmosphere. It's not just there, it's all over the West, in England, in France. We need concrete steps, not rhetoric and empty humanitarian events. 

If you are serious about a ceasefire, the world should put pressure on Israel to implement UN resolutions. Because people are dying, mothers are losing their babies, children are losing their parents. 

We are trying to do something to stop this massacre. "The biggest mistake of the US Secretary of State was made at the beginning. He went to Israel and said, "I came here as a Jew, except for the US Secretary of State."

Now, if we as Turkey are going to intervene here, what Israel should do is to quickly free the Palestinians and, in turn, immediately free the Israelis who are in the hands of Hamas. 

But there are two things here. There are soldiers. There are citizens. In fact, Hamas is not determined not to release the hostages. Of course there are soldiers there. Among these soldiers there are also high-ranking officers. 

But Israel's unconscionable attitude of taking 5-year-old, 10-year-old and 15-year-old children hostage is also evident. If positive steps are taken, we will take every risk and try to contribute to solving the problem. 

Israel has arrested nearly 2,000 people in the West Bank over the past month. Before that, there were about 10 thousand people, including women and children, who were prisoners.
