Sofian Kiyine, the 25-year-old footballer of OH Leuven in Belgium was involved in a serious road accident on Thursday evening. The footballer crashed his car into a sports hall in Flemalle, near Liege. Kiyine was taken to hospital, but his life is not in danger, the club said.

The accident happened on a connecting road from Flemalle to Liege. The maximum speed on this road is 90 kilometers per hour, as it is unclear how fast Kiyine was driving at the time of the incident.

The footballer lost control of the car and 'flew' over a fence in an adjacent sports hall. At the time of the accident, it is reported that there were children in the hall, but they had just gone to the dressing room. The sports hall "Louis Melin" is the home of the football, basketball and gymnastics clubs.
