The year 2023 has started positively for the state budget as the revenues collected are nearly 10 percent compared to 2022. Referring to official data from the Ministry of Finance, in January the total revenues were recorded at nearly 440 million euros and the tax paid, calculated on the personal income of Albanian citizens had the highest growth, leaving behind the contribution made by VAT as a result of increased prices. Specifically, in January 2022 personal income tax contributed 30.5 percent more than January 2022.
