In the photo posted on Twitter in March 2021, the "Proud Mary" hit singer appeared cozy at home, wearing black pants and a sweater of the same color, with her hair straight and a makeup-free look.
Alongside the photo, she expressed her enthusiasm for her documentary Tina: "I'm so excited to share this film with you - watching the concert scenes made me relive some of the proudest moments of my life," she said. according to Page Six.
Reflecting on her illustrious six-decade career in documentary, Turner questioned the concept of pride: “Some people say the life I've lived and the shows I've given, the acclaim... I should be proud of that. I am. But when do you stop being proud? I mean, when, how do you bend slowly? Just leave?”
The great Tina Turner passed away at her home in Küsnacht, near Zurich, Switzerland, aged 83, after a long battle with illness. A statement on her official Instagram conveyed the deep sadness of her death and celebrated her lasting impact on the world:
"With her music and her boundless passion for life, she captivated millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you so much.”
