Well-known Albanian actor, Mevlan Shaaj was invited today to the show 'My History' where he showed that he studied medicine and practiced for two years in hospital. He confessed that he still continues to like this profession and often thinks that he has done a stupid thing that has left him.
Mirela Milori: I know you as an actor, but you had your beginnings in a medical polytechnic. Have you studied medicine?
Mevlan Shanaj: At that time there were 4-year vocational schools of different profiles and I was in medicine, 4 years.
Mirela Milori: Have you practiced your profession?
Mevlan Shanaj: Two years in Patos hospital.
Mirela Milori: Did you like it?
Mevlan Shanaj: I still like it today. Even a little later now that it seems like I have learned from life, you can never learn from life and I have grasped this as the most delicate point of man. Whatever profession you have, you feel unfulfilled, selfish. In art it is said that this selfishness is even more developed, but I do not think there is a professional who is not selfish.
I once told my friends that I have maintained excellent relationships, what stupidity I did to run away from medicine. They told me that we should not envy you for being so, so. But I loved medicine and I love it because it is the profession we knock on when we need it.
Mirela Milori: We would win a good doctor, but we better win you as an artist, as an actor, as a protagonist of intellectual thought.
