Clara's parents talk about the "damage" they received from Shakira

As the third "party" in the relationship between Shakira and Gerard Pique, Clara Chia has been at the center of criticism since her relationship with the former footballer was revealed.

It was even recently reported that the 23-year-old suffered an anxiety attack due to the stress caused by the success of Shakira's song with Bizarrap, a song which was a "diss" for her and Pique.

According to "Univision", Chia has asked for help not only from Pique, but also from her parents and friends.

Chia's parents support their daughter's relationship with the former Barcelona defender. According to sources close to Clara's family, her parents did not pay much attention to Shakira's song in which she refers to their daughter.

"They find it funny, that's clear, but they don't really care," says the source.

However, they are worried about the fallout on their daughter after the viral song and both her parents along with Chia's entourage refer "disparagingly" to Shakira as "Pique's ex".

"They didn't expect Gerard's ex to do what he did, but this is how he portrays himself," Chia's friends say. "Clara never said anything and never will, of course she's a lady."

Clara Chia and her family took Shakira's song as a joke.

"They are more concerned about press reports about her than what Shakira's music says," the sources said.

They also said that emotionally, their daughter is "calm and happy" and "her daily life is the same as always".
