February 4, 1944, the Ballista massacre that sealed the shame of collaboration with the occupier

In the historiography of our people during the fascist occupation of the country 1939-44, as well as in many countries of Europe that languished under the fascist boot, the feeling of patriotism was born and further strengthened, this feeling that different social strata held different attitudes towards the Nazi occupation -fascist. The vast majority of the people, not only to face but also to fight the occupier, formed the broad National Liberation Front, calling on all political forces to unite regardless of religion, province and idea for the liberation of their countries, as well as other forces. which looked at their economic-social interests and why they would be removed as patriots, they would be directly or indirectly at the service of Nazi-fascists by forming puppet governments or as they are known in the now known term "Quislinge Government" (By V. Quisling of Norway, whose country was just invaded, he diligently served the German Nazis). Italians and later Germans, again from among the people, different layers of the Albanian society of that time held different positions. The first who jumped into the organized war were the Albanian communists, of course without denying patriots such as Myslim Peza, Haxhi Lleshi, etc. who had formed their detachments against the occupier. During the war, they were associated with the NPSH and promised several organizations such as "Legality" headed by A. Kupi, who had a grudge against fascism, why they had to drive King Zog from the throne. as well as the rest of the representatives of the new Albanian feudal-bourgeoisie led by M. Frashëri who, in order not to be discretized among the people, drew up a "decalogue" (program with 10 points) where they promised to fight the enemy, but that in fact and why a half-baked document which did not emphasize who the enemies were, again "Balli" not only did not take any step of a combative nature to prove his loyalty to those who had written himself, but on the contrary "Balli Kombëtar ” he sided with the enemy. It should be noted that many members of the Government of the "Vërlaci" Cabinet up to I. Biçaku were members and sympathizers of "Balli". For example, R. Mitrovica, Xh. Deva, L. Nosi, Xh. Stravecka, F. Dibra, H. Dema. K. Cakran were all members of the National Front, while the rest of us cooperated with the prefectures, implementing without exception the directives of the invaders. But what completely ripped the mask of the ballisticians is the massacre of February 4, 1944. Of course, the German high command was fully aware of the plan drawn up by Xhafer Deva's Ministry of the Interior, this plan was drawn up by Hysni Dema as commander of the gendarmerie and by Kadri Cakrani as head of the "Balli" forces. Tirana that day was covered with blood from the murderous hand of the Sahan lickers who were loyal to the end and at the service of occupying fascism. Those from the hatred they had towards the National Liberation Front and the partisan forces which they could not defeat in the difficult winter operation (at the beginning of the winter of 1943 and its end in 1944) as well as against several assassination attempts by the KPSH Circular against spies and b/workers of the Germans, organized the bloodiest massacre on February 4. The newspaper "Bashkimi i Kombit" would quote the words of the uncle that blood wants blood, as a response to the assassination of K.Cakran's personal guard and Uncle Deva's uncle, but that in fact this was the pretext, because the collaborationist forces of K. Cakran, by order of Deva and H. Dema, would commit the most serious crime which would finally tear off the mask of the ballisticians, ranking them as the most diligent collaborators and loyal dogs of the occupier. If there were 86 killed and massacred or 74, if there were even less, it doesn't really matter. What is important is the fact that and why they were killed, the criminals of "Balli" left them there in the place where they fell in order to frighten the people through terror. This was the policy of the "front" as Ismail Golem's forces had done in the prison of the fortress of Gjirokastra, which not more than a few weeks after the Tirana massacre, they would shoot some anti-fascists. This was the true face of the "National Front" which has stained its hands with blood and they are not the least bit different from the occupiers, they were and remain the Albanian Nazis under the command of the Hitlerian forces. This is why the document of October 7, 1943 of Mit'hat Frashëri bears the seal not only of the authenticity of their guilt as traitors, but also that of the paper where he writes with his own hand that they must stop any combat activity against the German forces until a second circular is issued... which never came out because the "Ballists" had long been on the backs of they had received the seal of treason....and we feel bad for our minister because they removed M. Frashëri's head from the other Frashëri brothers. Well done! I kissed the hand of the one who removed that traitor to the plan, from the great patriots Sami Abdyl and Naim Frashëri. It would be in the honor of the Municipality of the city of Tirana to erect a memorial for these martyrs who fell on February 4, 1944, which would strengthen our historical memory to remember not only the innocent victims but also the treacherous hand and the path of shame that followed "National Front".
