Integrity as political capital

In liberal democracy, for a professional politician, integrity is the most important symbolic capital at his disposal. No criticism or censure affects him so much as the accusation of lack of integrity. No one is "born" with integrity, as integrity is a characteristic that is cultivated in a person by family, school, society, political culture. It is a characteristic that cannot be learned, nor can the social group be protected from its absence, during the period when a person, a politician holds the post and title of political leader. And this is because integrity is directly related to our values, which are the code that defines the standards of our behavior. Simply put, one is complete when one's image matches who one really is. But every politician has every right of God to go where he wants, in any political party he wants. Even when doing so means selling out his ideology. But he must do this before the elections. You cannot be a member or a career politician of a political force that has specific principles and attitudes, be voted by the electorate as red and become yellow; to wake up blue and go dark cherry. You cannot be voted by the electorate that believes in you and your party's program and, immediately after the elections, go to another party. Because morale is lost. And we see this scenario coming in these elections. Some will even give interviews to justify their desertion and crossing the rainbow. Because such a thing is allowed, even "blessed" by the Albanian political culture. But the Albania of 2023 does not need a government or political forces, that rise up and are supported by renegades and politicians, who, their only goal, is "alishverishin". And to the politicians, who will call the betrayal "Opening for the good of the country and democracy!" Whoever wants to leave his party and embrace the positions of others, let him do it now, not after the election. Because then it will be a betrayal, a betrayal of the trust of the electorate that voted under the banner of a certain political party, under and for a certain sign. And, if we discuss in 2023 with the vocabulary of the 90s, the responsibility lies with the political system, which is unable to listen and understand the demands of the people and society. That it is impossible to understand the anger of marginalized young people, that cannot understand and grasp the ever-growing demands of citizens for a better life, for the elimination or minimization of social inequalities, for the voice that must be heard. And we can't even talk about mafia political blackmail in 2023. Everywhere in Europe there is a visible dissatisfaction with politicians without vision, with political administrators, with those who do not understand that there is a silent social revolt that can lead to unpredictable situations. And all of these are dangerous, as they can quickly lead us to extremes. Populism can win over wisdom, seriousness, and reason at any moment. The only thing we don't need today are "openings" and betrayals, which are not based on political positions, programs and visions, but on scams for power. And that goes for everyone!
