Four years until the new elections as the superior championship
Written by Vangjel Sako 17 Maj 2021
The CEC, as the main judge of the election campaign and the April 25 elections, has not yet blew the whistle for the end of the match, waiting with eyes for the "fourth judge" who in this case are the court decisions taken after the respective complaints from the losers, but for everything is over and the SP has been confirmed as the majority, so far with 74 seats. In the daily political reality, the winners, apart from a general winning rally in "Skënderbej" square, have not been felt and according to internal sources, the mayor Edi Rama has started from the directives for the work that must be done to win another term after four years. It is not so calm in this political force because there are two "lavas" that are erupting: the dismissal of President Ilir Meta, bearing on his shoulders the political responsibility that with his votes led him to that seat and the dilemmas for the new government that although there is time until September to be confirmed, it is not so easy to find the appropriate names of those who will be minister. This team is not about reconfirming all those current ones, but so far the security is only in one name: Vlora Çitaku will be in charge of Albanian diplomacy. Although there was no glimmer of admiration for the Kosovar who headed this ministry for most of the last 4 years, Edi Rama does not give up on an almost mixed government with the brothers across the border, the meaningless border. While in the opposing camp, although also with two lavas, the volcano is boiling like never before: The current PD dome is in a headless campaign to overturn the election result by massaging the syndrome of the Albanian contagious disease of vote theft from the winner, while it must defend itself from those who seek rotation in the leadership. And the voices against are not the simple ones of the party, but are led by the Chairman of the National Council of this party, the former president Nishani, who himself has stated that there are no claims for the post of party chairman, but with his new team “For PD ”seems to have a serious change of leadership. But let’s leave the two main political forces in their civil war and analyze their battlefield in this 4-year-old that is coming and will lead us back to the ballot box again in 2025. This has always been similar to the national championship of Superiore in football, not only that this championship has four stages, but most importantly in their content. For a regular football follower, but also for a professional analyst, the teams that fight at the end for the champion title are the ones that, without starting the championship, work to form a quality team and also give importance to the preparatory phase. Having such a foundation those teams get the fruits throughout the stages of the championship. Even any shortcomings that are noticed during the first two phases, are corrected during the January holidays and especially the last phase all the engines of victory are started. If you calmly study the actions of the two political forces in the country, SP and PD, in the campaign we just closed, you will notice that the winners, the socialists, did not leave the sprint of victory in the last months of the campaign, but the "waves" for her victory started as soon as they closed the victory in 2017. On the analysis of that victory they raised that of this spring. With very accurate lists, they "caught by the neck" those who were shaken until the day of voting and also those who remained dissatisfied with the work of the central government and especially the local one. Keeping these under the tension of another expected victory over almost four years, they found it easier to work and fight in the final phase of the campaign. I know closely the work of some socialist deputies and I do not find any major difference between their daily in four years with that of recent months, only that the intensity of meetings between them and the electorate had an increasing tempo. The fourth and final "phase" of the campaign only made them winners and gave them the championship cup. Meanwhile, there were unjustifiable delays on the part of the DP in programming a victory plan. After the defeat in 2017, she did not sit down clearly to reveal the causes of this loss and on those causes to compile the program of victory for 2021, but they were scattered in vain battles. With a leader he has proven to be very good at giving his sister a wife and making her a "groom", but has no value as a winning political leader, she not only did not create a winning spirit, but did not create any such motto. For months he tired the militants with the breadless slogan "Rama the thief", then "Rama runs away", then he exhausted them in tedious rallies and without any fruit. Her work in the fourth "phase" of the championship was especially deficient. The establishment of a so-called commission to verify the figures of candidates for MPs was a bureaucratic facade not only because some unreliable figures of this party were placed in the composition of that commission, but also that in the end, its decisions were not taken. considered and the mayor himself removed and put whoever he wanted in the final list. The long and futile wait for the appointment of political leaders in the regions was also an ineffective moment in the efforts of this party towards victory. Although it should be noted that even at this stage there was a positive spark: two of the earliest appointed to this position were Bushati in Shkodra Region and Leskaj in Vlora Region and that in the April 25 elections resulted in a much larger number of voters than in past elections. Even the defeatist slogan spread by the united opposition that "We can not eradicate Rama with a vote" was a negative factor in this campaign. But what weighed heavily on the final result was the placement in the final lists of unconsulted candidates not only with the base but also with the political leaders in the counties. This meant that the fight on the ground was not in the team and those who were at the bottom of the list did not even appear in the election campaign. Add to this the personalization of the campaign by Lulzim Basha who in every meeting, individual or mass, was more interested in the desire to be the next prime minister of the country than in the victory of the party. So there were a number of factors that led to the failure of this party on the road to victory, but the most painful is what is being observed even in these post-election days in this party. Instead of designing a victory platform for the next elections, it is wandering through the doors of the courts to alienate the result of these elections, which have apparently received the certificate of credibility from the international factor as well. The best way for this political force would be to close without loss the internal "revolution" and then unite the forces that will first think of the next victory and then "sculpt" it through political action. Let the suffering of this past campaign become a lesson for what is to come. As we pointed out at the beginning of the article, the championship is won by the one who initially thinks of a successful preparatory phase and this phase has already come for the political parties.
