Lecture on politics and politicians by the "conservative" Gramoz Ruçi

Lecture on politics and politicians by the "conservative" Gramoz

It is an early tradition in Albanian politics since ancient times, especially in the communist system when it became a tradition not to leave active politics or important positions without being forced from above. Leaving was either a decision of the leading forums, an indisputable obligation on the basis of orders, orientations, from the Central Committee of the PP, or an escape from this world, when you were declared an enemy of the party, take the bullet or life imprisonment. That was the tradition and we all know that. Those who had descended from the mountains who fought for the liberation of Albania, ascended to chairs as senior officials in the Politburo, ministers, prime ministers, deputy prime ministers and did not dismount without consuming all the power they considered their home and family, property signed with the muzzle of the rifle. This was the system methodology we left behind. Without denying the contributions as much as they were or the idealism of the beginning for a new world, we all remember 1990, where for the very age they were, all over eighty years old, a handful of old people, tired, sick from the weight of years and responsibilities to develop the economy and withstand the pressure from above and the pressure from below, for the many absences experienced by Albanians, the former leaders of the fifties, presented themselves as extras who transmitted nothing, atrophied by age and half a century in posts that had eroded them internally and fossilized their thought and action, solidified ideas and stifled initiative and extinguished energies. Even the former communist leaders, biological beings were, of flesh and blood, and as such suffered the wounds received over the years in a system that they had cooked with idealism, if it resulted in total failure without a future, with fundamental lack of freedom of movement, of thought, not to mention different attitudes which did not even exist at all. No one since 1944, the first day of liberation, consciously left as physically impossible, but even less so for the inability to run vital sectors of the economy that had exhausted all resources and had no future. The political elites remained unchanged and the ruling party increasingly turned into a deformed organism, without energy, without thought and action, without reforms, in short, it turned into a dead organism. There was no way it could have happened otherwise nor be judged for progress when the same individuals, remained stoic, unchanged in the photo shows of the Politburo, posted in every village and neighborhood throughout the country. Whoever took office as a minister, notarized this post, until he retired or was forced to leave when he violated the party line. He left the post after unmasking the model for ideological and political violations according to the party analysis or in any other compelling form because in those years the chair belonged to the party, only the seats belonged to the official. Competition was forbidden apples. In her absence, nepotism flourished, friendships, friendships and cousins ??to become directors and deputies and whatever they wanted. But no one resigned and left office in a civil and democratic manner. Members of the Politburo for whom there was no age, there was no rotation for decades, being cemented as cultural or natural monuments, irreplaceable by anyone else. This tradition, unfortunately, was inherited and copied even after 1990. Ambitious politicians in the name of leading the revolution, overthrowing the system and installing political pluralism, clung to the back of the party, squeezing it so hard that many times they took its breath away, paralyzed it, gave him their personal features, of daily character and behavior, uniting with him and transmitting to the party the vices, the numerous vices, inherited over the years. Like lack of loyalty. Debate and dialogue. Closing the door to youth. Lack of thinking differently, zero tolerance for all those who dared to say an idea different from that of the almighty president. But this has not been the case for all political parties. SP chairman Fatos Nano has resigned several times and gone home. Other politicians have acted in this way, such as Namik Dokle, who for dignity, left the Speaker of the Assembly, only after a few months in his direction. This is what Professor Servet Pëllumbi or other politicians have done over the years, even before the April 25 elections, such as Professor Bare, Mrs. Vasilika Hysi, Alfred Peza and many others from the ranks of the Socialists. Unfortunately, examples from right-wing political forces have been lacking. Very rare cases have been voluntary departures. Typical, stoic attitude, immobile, is former Prime Minister Berisha. Although after losing the election in 2013, with a very profound result in contrast to his counterpart, Fatos Nano, who lost the election and left in his private life, without being involved in any single case in active politics, Berisha made a symbolic withdrawal, almost a tactical move, being involved every day in politics and decision-making of the DP as much as in the general Albanian public, is considered, the de facto leader of the party. And today, to show his chest, strength, to oppose the Secretary of State, the US, after declaring non grata, but first to his party, its leaders, Basha first, declares that he will return at the head of the party in the future. In the whole democratic world when the party is lost, the leaders run away, close the gate behind them, hand over the keys and leave the direction to those whom the party chooses in the future. If Fatos Nano has really resigned and has not become a burden on the party, Berisha has joined the DP like a leech, without letting the new leaders, even those promoted and delegated by him, breathe a sigh of relief. Albanian citizens from 2013 until today have seen Berisha at the head of the party, the digital man, The unwavering leader, decision-maker and enforcer, although de jure chairman of the Democratic Party, is Lulzim Basha, who, in imitation of his political father, in an unequal race on June 13, in the PD elections, was re-elected chairman even though he lost five times in a row in matches with political opponents. Although he lost the political elections he did not find the strength to leave as a serial loser, he was regaining the leadership of the PD, winning the party even though he lost power. In the entire democratic world after losing, modern leaders take responsibility for the loss and leave in their family life, making the good grandfather or the ideal parent and spouse. In contrast to the tradition of political leaders in our history of three decades of democracy on June 12 at the SP Congress, at the Air Albania stadium, as the champion footballers who hand over the jersey after the glory of the years, where the 30th anniversary of its founding was celebrated, Gramoz Ruçi, one of the founders with indisputable contributions, elected chairman of the SP forums, vice chairman, General Secretary, Group Chairman Parliamentarian and finally, Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, announced his resignation from all political functions and as an elected deputy in the district of Fier, where he was a political leader in the extreme position of the list, number ten. Although at the height of his success, with the balance of victory, the leader and in charge of the party reforms at all stages, Gramoz Ruçi, declared his departure. A dignified departure. Evaluated with superlatives by the party, as a central figure who has given to the political force everything he could in its reform and consolidation, he made the decision to leave, devoting himself from now on to his family. The natural resignation, without any tam- tam, brought out the chest, as if doing a heroic act, with simplicity and wisdom, showed that Gramoz Ruçi is more than a politician, a citizen and is guided by democratic norms and ideals, a political leader who acts consciously implements in life what it propagates. No one demanded Ruçi resign. The opposite is true. The insistence to continue and if he had this motive could stay until extreme age. Yes, Gramoz Ruci is not Berisha. It is not like the others. So his resignation is the best lecture given to politics and politicians in all political forces. It is the lesson that the accused, as dictator, murderer, old jacket, stately man, pedantic, communist, conservative and anathema as imposing, frowning and conservative, the man who served as head of the Interior Ministry at the end of the dictatorship knew how to leave, leaving the place to young people. Nothing stopped him at the peak of his achievements, with the second highest position in our political system, from telling his party: Now so far! From now on I will be the husband, parent and grandfather of my nephews and nieces to welcome and educate them to become good citizens. The anathemas, the insults of today's opposition leaders towards him are like slogans, but also as an extraordinary contrast, because even when they are at the end of the day, they failed to rise to the height of Gramoz Ruci's position, even though at the top, he knew how to leave. with dignity and honesty. Gramoz Ruçi, showed that he is the dignified Ruçi, the man who knew how to walk between the waves of politics, to win and lose, yes above all to flee when he was concreted and supported to stay. This is the morality of responsible people, of citizens who know how to take actions that are messages and lessons of democracy for all politicians and politics.
