A people that chooses corrupt people, thieves, masquerades and traitors at the head of the country, is not a victim but is their collaborator, writes George Orwell. Albanians have no time to waste. We Albanians know that time moves, but we don't seem to see it, that's why we don't move with it. For Albanians, the past times are nothing but bitter experiences. Albanians want the future times to be nothing but to be forgotten. Albanians have the opportunity to make their time more dear. The Albanian people, this long-suffering and weary people, can truly enjoy democratic freedom, becoming a balcony of inspiration for the Balkans and beyond.
And as an Albanian publicist and academic wrote here years ago, there is no criminalized freedom, just as there is no violated democracy, and respectively there has not been nor will there be communist freedom in a democratic society. While me and my neighbors, today we think about our deputies, who for four years do not set foot in our area. They come only at the beginning of the campaigns, making the buffalo fly and the yogurt sea with achievements and powerful investments. But starting simply and only from personal interests, such candidates for local leaders, and this is already a bell for the next local elections with the new administrative division, where thirty or so years in a row they have run, sometimes with one party and sometimes with another. So where their ideals and morals are sold, there they sit in the armchair of the chairman and the councilor. Even if they win,they will remain leifene again, where later history will exclude them from human life, no longer from their tired electorate of two decades.
And that day will probably not be far away, God willing that the voters are not bored and exhausted, because Noli has died in time, and there is no one to confess for them. In this time period of more than a century, the Albanian state , unfortunately our nation has tried several social and political systems. The political systems, which we are mentioning below, not every historical period have brought prosperity, but in some cases also negative consequences that still weigh on the backs of the suffering Albanians. To be emphasized is the fact that Albanian political leaders have generally not stopped fighting for democracy and social welfare. Unfortunately, the sovereign who deserved more and more, benefited from scarcity, poverty, misery, ignorance and dictatorship from the wildest, from which they have been plowing on the backs of honest Albanians for 30 years now. But such thoughts, as we judge, they harm the Albanian issue in general and the Albanians of Kosovo and North Macedonia, in particular. The Albanian Balkan spaces remain configured within a bitter geographical and historical reality, since not only did the Albanians remain living in six states. everyone will understand that there is no greater, everyone is equal.
We Albanians have not yet formed as a nation in the full sense of the word. Albanians still do not have a national program that would emancipate them in terms of raising national consciousness, for their own protection, not to attack others. When you go to the polls, please keep in mind another piece of advice: every nation is master of his own territory and has the right to freely decide his own destiny. Greater than the desire must be the willingness to make this a reality. Avoiding the causes of the governing crisis in Albania cannot be done without the production of optimal opportunities for coping with them. Blaming history and Europe belongs to the past. There is nothing contestable in those accusations. But we have the future in our hands and we must know how to use it. Let's not destroy foundations when others are building roofs.
Let's not put other people's mistakes in front of us to see them, and our mistakes behind us to hide them. Let's face the grudges and resentments of the past and focus on building the future. Let's invest in cadres with intellectual courage, political prudence and diplomatic skills. Albanians have turned their eyes and ears away from Albania, from you, dear voters. By casting your vote today, you will answer the question of where Albania will be tomorrow. You, honorable voters, are expected to vote for the rule of law, which, in its literal sense, expresses itself in submission to state justice bodies; with equality of all before the law; with an independent judiciary; with an impartial procedure; with the existence of efficient means for the protection of citizens;
The unresolved Albanian issue represents one of the central problems in the Balkans today. If there is truth in this judgment, then the conclusion is clear: without an acceptable solution to the Albanian issue, it will not be possible to build peace in the Balkans. The Balkans continue to be directed from the outside, while conflicts of different natures and intensities are possible within it, due to the intersection of many political interests in it. Therefore, Albanians, not being surrounded by good neighbors, should think about building their future. The first thing that the Albanians should do is to look at and present the Albanian issue as one and united. If the Albanians do not do this, it cannot be expected that others will do it before them. Even if others do it,
