For candidates who did not vote for themselves

For candidates who did not vote for themselves

After the CEC announced the final results of the April 25 elections, the list of those candidates for MPs of small parties who had received zero votes, ie had not voted themselves, was published in the press. And there were not a few, full of 85 candidates. This indicator does not accept any kind of justification, but is simply the attitude and appreciation that such people have for themselves. Seeing the names of these people who may be honored for the environment in which they live and work, that most of them I do not even know personally, but the zero result means that they are put with or unintentionally in the service of others. It is good that they are totally put in the service of the party chairman, but any family, friend or friend, do these fakirs have to give them a vote ?! It is embarrassing when you look at the lists of candidates for MPs and find that 85 people did not even vote for themselves, 144 received only their votes and 137 others have two votes each, ie they have the vote of their spouses or one of their parents. . No one can so dismiss themselves and the public use their names as jokes in ordinary conversations. Regarding this ridiculous result, some problems arise that are worth discussing not only by those who know these candidates, but also by the whole sound public that demands the functioning of a true democracy.

1. Everyone should understand that voting is not gala and queuing up on a serious list and the ambition to represent the people in the temple of democracy is not gambling. Commitment to being an MP requires the highest moral, intellectual and patriotic mobilization. Most of the names who did not vote by any vote are from small parties. This shows that these parties, as long as they do not even have 140 well-known names for the competition, do not have to exist and when this is repeated from election to election, they should have left the political scene. These parties are just a facade for our fragile democracy, or they stand on their own two feet to gain some privilege. Investigations have been made by the media and most of these parties have neither offices, nor programs, nor any kind of credibility in the Albanian public. If you look at the candidates who did not vote for themselves, most are from an alliance of parties whose names no one has heard of except their mayors. An alliance "People's Union Immigration Hour of Hope and Conservatives" has a total of 27 candidates who did not vote for themselves. The New Movement Party also has 12 candidates listed that have not received any votes. It is unfortunate that even a party with a traditional early activity, such as the National Front Party, has a total of 19 candidates who did not vote for themselves. This shows that the leaders of these parties roam around Albania and introduce random names, without any kind of credibility in society, just to complete the lists required by the electoral law. As well as some new parties that had higher expectations such as the Democratic Conviction and the Movement for Change, they should not fall into such standards by including in their lists the names of people who have no respect for themselves. When a candidate does not vote for himself, there remains no motive for denouncing election manipulation or vote theft. Such parties with the vulgar machinations that they practice to keep their leaders in power at all costs, do not help democracy, on the contrary they are significantly affecting the bipolarity of political forces in the country. An indicator of the poor quality of the Parliament that we had in the closed legislature, is the fact that a former MP in a large district like Durrës, manages to get only two votes. One wonders what dignity he has and what traces he has left in society, when even his family did not vote for him. The time has come for small parties with bombastic names, but who does not even know their own family and the neighborhood in which they live, must be immediately merged because they have turned into feverish parasites at the expense of democracy. New parties, which have only a few months to live, can be justified by the result, being tested in future electoral battles, but never other parties that have been born since the beginning of democracy. And how can it be explained that the leaders of some parties gain deputies, taking refuge in the armpits of large parties. Switching from one party to another and gaining a mandate without public merit and credibility is a sophisticated manipulation of the fair vote of the electorate. You can become an MP in many ways, but in the eyes of the people you remain who you really are. And how can it be explained that a candidate of a party manages to become an MP with only 800 votes,
