The promenade in Saranda is for citizens or for racing scooters and motorbikes?!

The promenade in Saranda is for citizens or for racing scooters and motorbikes?!

The Ionian Promenade in the city of Saranda is the most beautiful jewel for the coastal city. Appreciated by Sarandio residents and all those who choose this city to spend their holidays, it has now become a place of pilgrimage where all those who come to this city come together. This promenade has been designed and built with taste and quality and the entrances into the deep sea of ??the special tracks have given it such dimensions that thousands of people can walk at once in huge squares. Throughout the day, not only in the evenings, but until the early hours of the morning as well during the day, when the sun burns hot, the vacationers walk under the shade of the pines and the sea breeze rubs their faces, as if they were under a huge flag. . Temperatures are never extreme by the sea. That's why the city is fresh and the promenade is always cool at any hour of the day. The Promenade of Saranda will in the future go around the coast from the Navy to the mouth of the "Bistrica" ??river. When this project is completed, visitors will not have to leave the edges to reach the existing promenade. That it happens during the evenings for a walk on the sea shore vacationers come from Ksamil to and from Lukova. Everyone wants to enjoy a few steps on the boardwalk, which serves as an oversized track. Walking in the evening is incredibly relaxing. Anyone feels that this is where the breath of the city begins and takes the road to return to the streets of the city. Most of the tourists often leave the promenade in the early hours of the morning. So the promenade is the place of pilgrimage and ritual, where in the evening everyone descends to enjoy the miracle under the illumination of the moon that hangs over the top of Lëkurës, where the castle rises above the centuries-old banyans as an extension of this emblematic mountain with the shape of a pyramid. From the promenade, Lêkurësi and the mountain, where the "Monastery of the Forty Saints" was built centuries ago, create the feeling that you are on a huge ship ready to sail. The value of the boardwalk is multi-dimensional. Without that, Saranda would be pale, without that nerve that this space creates. Without it, it would be harsh, almost like a bare ravine without vegetation. If we could talk about the quality of Saranda's lungonara, we could count endless details. Yes, the promenade by the sea, apart from the positive sides known by everyone, has many problems that diminish its values ??and make it problematic for all those who choose it. What are the wounds of the lungomare, which diminish its value and in many cases make it uncomfortable and dangerous for those who frequent it? First, the tendency to expand the rows of chairs and tables, creating chaos and the impossibility of free attendance by those who can walk. Anyone who has a bar with limited scope, even a modest ice cream shop, wants to expand at the expense of the boulevard, biting a few slabs, which are to serve those who want to walk. This greed keeps increasing and it seems that businesses judge that this surface is made for them to use and profit as much as they can and where they can. This is one of the lungomare wounds, which requires urgent treatment. Prohibition and restriction to enforce any law and permitted areas. Otherwise, tourism is severely affected and citizens have the right to turn their backs and move to more peaceful places. So how should this phenomenon be stopped? Local government bodies and institutions have a legal obligation to stop this illegal phenomenon. Otherwise, each tourist season will add tables and chairs until the entire promenade turns into a giant restaurant. But is this the only wound of the expansion of businesses on the promenade? Another wound, no less, is the damage to the tiles and not repairing them, as well as the indiscriminate use of portable faucets on the street. Just like the occupation of the curbs by the trinket traders, who display their handicrafts and various toys or embroideries. But the sharpest and most disturbing problem that all the visitors of the promenade say is the movement of cars, motorbikes, bicycles and for a long time also scooters, which move quickly under the guidance of children, young people, and even older people. There are dozens of scooters, if not hundreds, parading down the promenade without stopping in a long line in a feverish race to see who will arrive at the end first. Where the promenade starts next to the swimming complex until further to tourism. The scooters in line race at speed at the peak of the movement of citizens. The stream of walkers consists of children in strollers to elderly people walking and stopping on benches by the sea. Everyone is at risk. Mostly the children of the elderly, then it depends who is lucky enough to be hit by them with all their strength. Just five days ago in the evening, one of the many scooters hit a citizen, tourist from a city in Albania. The blow was very strong and the citizen fell on the tiles without breathing. It was so shocking that he fell as long as wide on the stone slabs, suffering injuries to his body and limbs. It took quick help to get him out of his critical condition. The ambulance was even notified to give him hospital assistance, which transported him to the emergency room under the care and attention of doctors. How many such cases occur due to the irresponsibility, not only of scooter drivers, but also of the chaotic movement of bicycles and motorcycles. Local citizens and foreign tourists like to use the promenade to have fun and relax to absorb the iodine of the evening. Do they even think of traveling with two wheels and having their lives depend on them? But what is the emergency solution and the cost of stopping them? The first and foremost is their strict prohibition during the hours of movement of citizens. To stay the municipal and order police, as well as through other forms, to strictly prohibit their movement on the promenade. There is no one who does not know that these tools require a head, they cause irreparable damage to the health of citizens. From the responsibility to the user. Adolescents can not be avoided by their parents who should not allow children to race on the promenade. For passion, let the children choose other tracks without violating the order and freedom of others. The promenade in the way it is used these days has lost its meaning. His privacy has been violated. It cannot be treated at will. Its use has a code. And this code must be followed by everyone, from sea children to the elderly. Otherwise, everyone has the right to wonder: Is the promenade of Saranda for relaxation and tranquility or a track for racing scooters and motorcyclists from young people?!
