Should Berisha take steps back? This is how Jorida Tabaku answers

Jorida Tabaku in an interview on the show "This week" talked about the internal political situation in DP, the reappearance of the former leader of DP Lulzim Basha.

Tabaku said that if the Democratic Party continues with the same situation, the opposition will lose a lot of time and this would damage it extremely.

"I think that Mr. Bardhi has a heavy weight for the union. I hope that the caucus will begin to unite for the battle against the opponent. And I think this is the biggest challenge", said Tabaku, among other things.

Jorida Tabaku: The discussion is only good for DP. I emphasize that we must deal with people's concerns, about corruption, about the departure of young people. We must solve our problems first. I believe that the opposition is in a difficult situation and we must be as united as possible.

Should Berisha take a step back?

Jorida Tabaku: I believe that the results should be an indicator that DP should reflect and definitely change. So things have not gone well for a year and a half, and that must change.

After the resignation of Alibeaj, Bardhi asked you to be the chairman of the DP. You have not expressed yourself. Will you accept it?

Jorida Tabaku: In DP I have won things, I have progressed slowly in my career, I have not made stratospheric moves, I am trying to listen to all parties. It doesn't matter the position of any of us, we need a solution that expands PD, not shrinks it. We had a meeting last week with the group and shared concerns about who is best for PD. we've tried a lot of things that haven't worked, maybe we shouldn't rush the party from one battle to another. At the end of next week, maybe we will have a consulted decision. We are consulting, we may formalize the official stance on this issue at the end of next week.

How do you respond to those who ask you to lead the party?

Jorida Tabaku: We need to move from the approach of the individual and we need a broader decision-making. If we rush now, we miss the opportunity to unite grassroots Democrats, which is what I mean when I say the party needs to unite.

Alibeaj's resignation. How did you see it?

Jorida Tabaku: I didn't expect it. I have appreciated that it has carried a heavy weight and has been the victim of unfair attacks.
