Should the FBI investigate Rama? Habit Kreshnik Spahiu

Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu says that if the justice system was functioning in the country, Prime Minister Edi Rama would have been questioned about the scandal with the former FBI official, Charles McGonigal.

In the "Now" show, Spahiu said that the prosecution has the obligation to start criminal proceedings and with grounds to prove if there are elements of a criminal offense.

"If Albania had a Falkone or a Borsalino in the justice system, both of these people should have traveled to Washington. Why? There is an indictment approved by a grand jury and the American court that has completed the investigations, which mentions the prime minister of the country, but also relations that were carried out in Albania.

It is the duty of the prosecution, where the decision of a foreign court states that certain, illegal relations have been committed in your country, the prosecution has the obligation to start criminal proceedings and with grounds to prove if there are elements of a criminal offense. If there is a criminal offense, determine who are the subjects that should be investigated", he emphasized.
