The deputy of the Democratic Party, Agron Shehaj, stated that according to the investigation in the USA, Prime Minister Edi Rama secretly used the FBI official, Charles McGonigal, who was in office, to eliminate the opposition.
In the show "Now" on Euronews Albania, Shehaj said that this fact is enough for Rama to resign.
"What comes out of the FBI's investigation? It turns out that the prime minister of Albania used the FBI agent, on duty, to attack and eliminate the opposition. The Albanian agent received information from the prime minister's office.
In practice, the prime minister has used a senior FBI official, secretly, to eliminate the opposition. In a democratic country, it is enough for the prime minister to resign, and no longer be accountable to the parliament", he emphasized.
