Madje dhe ndërkombëtarët kanë deklaruar disa herë se individë të caktuar në vend, e sidomos Sali Berisha kanë lidhje me rusët. Faktet deri më tani kanë treguar se vetëm këta dy personazhe kanë patur kontakte me Rusinë. Falë ndihmës së tyre bënin lobime në SHBA. Edhe tani dyshimet janë se Meta e Berisha po ndjekin skenarë për interesat e Moskës, me qëllim që vendi të shkojë drejt mosbindjes civile. Ajo që e fakton një gjë të tillë është se sipas ekspertëve ndërkombëtarë, Rusia ka kthyer sytë nga vendet në krizë dhe me paqëndrueshmëri politike duke patur parasysh dhe situatën e luftës në Ukrainë.
