Spartak Braho's "bomb": SPAK will sink another minister, this is why Sali Berisha attacks the Special Prosecutor's Office and who is the politician who is expected to replace Edi Rama at the head of the SP

The former chairman of the National Security Commission, at the same time the former deputy of the Socialist Party Spartak Braho has commented on the political situation in the country. During an interview for "SOT" newspaper, Mr. Braho warned of the arrest of another socialist minister, as he showed the scheme that SPAK is following to put behind bars anyone involved in corrupt and criminal affairs. The former socialist lawmaker even explains why former Prime Minister Sali Berisha attacks the Special Prosecutor's Office Against Organized Crime and Corruption. Meanwhile, among other things, he reveals who is the politician who is expected to replace Edi Rama at the head of the Socialist Party.

-Mr. Braho, first of all, I would like you to give us a comment regarding the results of the elections that took place a few days ago for the mayor of Kukës?

It was an expected result in fact, a victory to be hailed. I say that life goes on despite the Safet Gjic scandal that happened, people want confidence in those they elect, and I think the candidate of the Socialist Party saw him as a candidacy that met the parameters. But who was he facing? There were Ilir Meta and Sali Berisha, who are burnt figures. I wish the newly elected mayor of Kukës a good job and put the airport of Kukës to work a little because it is all that investment. But, even tomorrow, if the elections are held again, the Socialist Party will start again, it is more than clear, as I say that the people have chosen the lesser evil.

- In the meeting of the Assembly of the Socialist Party that took place a short time ago, 7 ministers were dismissed, while the entire secretariat was also dismissed by Prime Minister Edi Rama a short time ago, how do you comment?

Edi Rama leads with what is called the politics of gestures. Yes, Rama is exaggerating with these gestures, these dismissals were necessary because some of them have been consumed excessively and do not produce anything, neither politics nor action anymore, because politics in the end is action, this government today must to act with more actions and concrete actions, coming to the aid of the layers in need. Albania is in great difficulties in terms of its urbanization, the construction of rural roads, there are hundreds of villages without roads and without communication, the people have simply been abandoned by the government and some areas live in conditions of cruelty. Prime Minister Rama has not once visited Skrapar and many other districts. Albanians know the opposition very well and have no hope there and with these political contests it is not that they participate to change the situation, Albanians in this situation will vote for SP. Edi Rama even if they held early elections and he still wins.

-Other names of former ministers are under investigation by SPAK, let's mention the case of the former Minister of Health and former Minister Arben Ahmetaj, are they both under investigation today?

We are waiting for the trial, but it is a great shame that these figures of the Socialist Party are dragged to the doors of justice. Yes, there will be others because the government led by Rama has been in power for many years.

-A few days ago, the special envoy from the United States of America met the head of SPAK Altin Dumani, do you have a comment about this meeting held between them?

Support, apparently our strategic partners, those who followed the development of the reform in justice very attentively, are also very attentive to the continuation of the reform in justice, found the right person in the chief prosecutor. SPAK will support and especially with logistics, since the support with legislation exists, but now the laws on which this important organization of the pursuit of crime operates is complete with some corrections that can be made, there are places that can be fixed, while the logistical support it should be much bigger, SPAK 40 investigators of the National Bureau of Investigation do not work because the number should double the inventory. The investigation requires careful attention and commitment, and the heavy workload forces SPAK investigators to be slow in their actions, and those who know the work of SPAK evaluate it as inaction or neglect.

- We also have an attack on the new justice by the former prime minister Sali Berisha, who attacks him time and time again, how do you comment?

Sali Berisha is a fool, don't mess with him, he is a dead man. Now the problem is that SPAK does not have pressure from the majority, but even this pressure from the majority has changed, it has faded, it is not done directly as it was done long ago. I myself have found that the pressure of the majority is also due to the political ignorance of some of its leaders. It is the word arrest, strikes which are often used and I think that these words should not exist by the politicians who use them, because it belongs to a body and these bodies are designated by law and some of them do not hear from justice. They are used by both sides, both the majority and the opposition, but actually I don't want to mention specific names. The important thing is that SPAK has started the engines well and has often become influential in the court, because it has been well shaken due to the high quality of work presented by SPAK in its investigative activity. These two are institutions that should go hand in hand with each other. One formulates, the other judges, there are cases where the court changed the criminal offenses, but there is no innocence, which means that the charges brought by SPAK are based on the law and this is a victory.

- What do you think will happen in the Socialist Party, since after a few days the new structures will be chosen, do you think that in this Congress there will be other changes like those made a while ago by the Prime Minister of the country Edi Rama?

There may be, Edi Rama as chairman of the Socialist Party and as prime minister intends to move things by having claims about those he has appointed and that they have done the job properly, because that is why the replacements are made. However, let him experiment and find the right people, he left Tirana in the hands of Veliaj, who did a lot of politics, but he is a man of actions, not only of gestures because gestures are accompanied by actions. For me, Erion Veliaj is a positive example, and the number of votes he received was also seen in the municipal elections.

- It has been talked about in the corridors of politics, but also in the media that the mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj can replace the country's prime minister Edi Rama at the head of the Socialist Party, I would like your opinion on this, do you think that Veliaj can be Rama's successor ?

I don't know, I know that he is one of the best candidates that should succeed Edi Rama.
