The former deputy of PD, Aleksandër Biberaj, in a television interview spoke about the partial elections in Kukës that were held on September 24 and ended with the victory of the Socialist Party.
For Biberaj, the fact that the majority won with twice the number of votes in the municipality of Kukes, shows that in fact the right-wing electorate boycotted the elections. He blames the opposition for this situation, which, according to him, will remain divided if it continues.
"What happened in Kukës is terrible. A piecemeal opposition that has been devoured. Of course, Rama's government is incriminated, but this result does not justify any position of the opposition. I know what it means for Kukësi to get double votes for the SP.
As long as Sali Berisha is in the leadership of the Democratic Party, Bardhi is in a faction, we will go from defeat to defeat. They vote for what they voted for, as they have no alternative. We need candidates who live in Kukës. We have been suffering the lack of opposition for years," Biberaj said.
