The arrest warrant for Vangjush Dako from SPAK, Artan Hoxha reveals how he was blocked in the last minutes and who was the person who stopped the handcuffing of the former mayor

The news that the Special Anticorruption Structure (SPAK) reportedly signed the arrest of Vangjush Dako is causing "earthquakes". Still unconfirmed sources indicate that Dako, Prime Minister Rama's most trusted man, was being investigated for abuse of office, corruption and money laundering. It is learned that part of the file is also an illegal construction permit. It is said that the warrant for Dako's arrest has been signed, but the police are delaying to execute him. The well-known journalist Artan Hoxha has published a reaction on social networks accompanied by a photo showing a banner with the title "Where is Vangjushi's arrest warrant?". Interested citizens ask Hoxha if this news is true or not? The latter replies that only Prime Minister Rama is aware of this sensational development. Dako's arrest

The former head of the Municipality of Durrës, appeared 5 days ago at the doors of the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime. Hoxha was summoned to SPAK in March, where he gave statements for 4 hours before the prosecutors. The report was filed in the special prosecutor's office in September 2020 by the residents of the building that was damaged after the earthquake with the suspicion that, at the time he held the office of mayor, Dako approved permission for four additional floors even though the initial project provided a building with 10 floors. It is learned that Dako has given explanations as a person who has knowledge and up to this stage of the investigation, no criminal offense has been registered against him. Also, Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation a few weeks ago interrogated officials of the municipality of Durrës in relation to several tenders developed by this institution. It is about tenders developed at the time when the municipality was run by Dako, but it is not yet known if legal violations have been found.

VOA shkruante në atë periudhë se bisedat e përgjuara telefonike sipas dosjes së prokurorisë tregojnë gjithashtu një marrëdhënie të shtrirë në kohë mes Dakos dhe vëllezërve Avdyli, kontributi i të cilëve në zgjedhje duket se është shpërblyer me qasje pranë disa institucioneve kyçe në Durrës. Zoti Dako i ka mohuar akuzat. Gjatë një debati në parlament për këtë rast, kryeministri Rama i doli në mbrojtje zotit Dako, duke i quajtur përgjimet “llafe kafenesh”, ndonëse më pas nuk e kandidoi më zotin Dako për zgjedhjet e fundit lokale të 30 qershorit, por pa njohur përgjegjësi për rastin e tij.
