The Complaints and Sanctions Commission dismissed today the complaint filed by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha regarding the registration of the Democratic Party with chairman Enkelejd Alibeaj in the May 14 elections.
The complaint was filed in the KAS a few days ago and Berisha's DP sought the objection of the decision of the CEC that had registered for the May 14 elections, Enkelejd Alibeaj's DP in the capacity of acting chairman.
KAS dismissed today the appeal request no. 36, with object "Opposition to the decision of the State Election Commissioner, no. 179, dated 18.03.2023 and the amendment of this decision, deciding: The suspension of the registration of the subject "Democratic Party" with vice president Mr. Enkelejd Alibeaj in the capacity of the commanding chairman, for the elections for the local government bodies on May 14, 2023, until the Electoral College has expressed its final decision on the appeal of the subject "Democratic Party of Albania" represented by the Chairman Mr. Sali Berisha".
