The release of Tahir, the ex-prosecutor 'makes cold water' for the government: Luxury decision, just ask for a minister in prison as a result of justice

The former Prosecutor of Serious Crimes, Eugen Beçi, has stated that politics interfered in the evaluation of the evidence in Tahir's case, since the latter was accused of drug trafficking, which then turned into abuse of office.

According to him, politics required a minister in prison for statistics, while he said that the decision to release Tahir was made in the form of "luxury", even though he described it as right.

The comment of former prosecutor Beçi:

Politics interfered with the evaluation of the evidence. It goes from drug trafficking to abuse of office. Trafficking in narcotics within the structured criminal group cannot be turned into abuse of duty. There is or there is no innocence. Politics simply required a minister in prison as a result of justice. The former minister was put in prison to have a definite sentence. When he is sentenced justice does another pirouette.

His release is unrelated to the normal procedure. In this particular case, from the data we have, the directorate of prisons, forensic experts and the court will have to be engaged to decide. The decision is regular, but it is made in the form of luxury. What other prisoner can make the same request and get it? I am convinced that there are hundreds of such in Albania with Tahir's problem. This is the privilege of this person from the process.
