Ylli Rakipi asked Blendi Fevziu about the mass departure of Albanians and the lack of cultural life in Albania.

During the interview on the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, Fevziu linked the departure of the Albanians to the best economic conditions offered by the West. Regarding the Big Brother show, which has "stuck" behind the screen of many viewers, Fevziu stated that he does not have much information about it, since he did not follow it, but added that he sees it as a transitory and not disturbing phenomenon.

Ylli Rakipi: Many people are fleeing Albania. Edi Rama said that salaries should be raised because we risk being left without employees. Now you feel it.

Blendi Fevziu: I think even more will leave.

Ylli Rakipi: Why do you think Albanians are fleeing the country so massively even in 2023?

Blendi Fevziu: In recent years, there has been a greater mass of escapes in the entire area. Second, the biggest fatality for us is that educated people are leaving. Over time, wages have remained at low levels. The offer that the West brings is much more important than any offer you can get in Albania. Third, Europe needs immigrants, but they would prefer internal European immigration, as it is culturally easier to integrate. In the next 10-20 years the number of those who will leave will be even greater. There is a lack of hope, security is very bad and thirdly these people want to raise their children in developed countries.

Ylli Rakipi: Albania's cultural life is almost dead. We are plunged into an extraordinary vanity. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, it's 8 o'clock, people are in houses and cafes watching Big Brother. You have not seen it, but the phenomenon is conveyed.

Blendi Fevziu: I don't usually see any show, neither with dance nor on other TV.

Ylli Rakipi: I'm asking you about something that I feel worried about the society we live in. Luizi has received a second of the views of Joe Biden, four billion or so. Rama had 600 or so million. Are we not a people who fled for fur?

Blendi Fevziu: This has also happened to other peoples. The same thing happened in Greece. Such media phenomena happen.

Ylli Rakipi: So that the people are all stuck in vanity?

Blendi Fevziu: Some time ago I told an Albanian director, I'm going to see a football match. He transformed and said, how are you going to see 20 fools play? I told him I watch football, I have a passion for it. It depends on the judgment. The problem is if society prolongs it, but there are such phenomena in society.

We have had our flaws as a society. Why was communism in Albania wilder than any other country? Why was Albania the last country to secede from the Ottoman Empire?
