Lulzim Basha holds a meeting with young people in another city

The former chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, today traveled to Shkodra where he held a meeting with the democratic youth.

During his speech, Basha said that the result of the May 14 elections was a clear answer for the political parties. The former leader of the Democratic Party said that young people are the ones who should be integrated into politics and to achieve this he proposed his plan.

According to Basha, young people are leaving the country because they have no opportunities and the first thing that should be done is their listening and participation in the political process.

"The first step you took on May 14 is not a small one, woe to those who don't read it. But I have hope that it is the beginning of a youthful reaction. What do those who came to ask for your vote know? What do they know about your needs, your dreams? Nothing. You know why they don't know anything, because they are old because they have been dealing with each other for a long time. I have a plan for how we can deal with this from a political point of view.

From the responsibilities of those who have undertaken to solve the problems of this country, we must conclude that the youth are bored, they leave, they do not participate in the elections. Of course, due to the lack of space, competition, merit, but also because the youth is not listened to. Someone who is not heard has no place there. The first thing we must do is to listen to the voice of the youth, all citizens, but the youth is the beginning, by listening to them we create space for the youth to participate in the political process. Let's start thinking about how to turn politics away from people's problems. I have a proposal, open lists. The open lists will make it possible for those who get votes from the citizens to go to the parliament but also to the municipal council, not those who burden the mayors", said Basha.
