The meeting of the leadership of the DP, Tabaku rejects the position of the commanding chairman, here is what he proposes

At the presidency meeting, this Tuesday, Jorida Tabaku has stated that she will not accept to be the commanding president of the DP.

"The last year has not been easy for many of us and the situation in the Democratic Party has simultaneously affected the work in the parliament and especially in the field. The scuffle and crash from above came down to the ground giving us glimpses of a tragic and shameful clash.

Not only that, but for a year each of us with a hierarchy of position and public attention, i.e. who more and who less, became a target of slander, ridicule, slander and humiliation just because he consciously decided to take a different stance . All this affected the general spirit and atmosphere of a political struggle, the product of which is the situation we see today.

I have talked for the last two weeks with fellow MPs of the parliamentary group, former MPs and sympathizers of the Democratic Party. They are an important part of the path that I think we should follow. And I think so because at the end of the day the deputy is a political person with electoral weight who is obviously an important voice to be heard.

From all these discussions that I have had during these last two weeks, what I understood was the failure of this political force to really face the results of the elections, always.

When I say face-off, I don't mean a party convention that meets and has a shooting board and assigns some blame that always goes to our opponent. But, I am talking about a confrontation as befits a political force with the vote of the citizens in every box and why not with the strategy followed.

This, I think, has thrown us beyond our inability to change, to reflect and to adapt to what people are looking for today. Even to move the appropriate mechanisms of our political force to get the maximum.

Non-participation in the 2019 elections, leaving the parliament, not functioning properly on the ground, engaging in revolutions and promises that were actually aimed at raising the morale of our base but that brought us even greater losses. Whereas, unfortunately, after 2021 we spent our time on an internal battle, but this is not so much our fault, more than a sometimes unwanted response to those who thought they could win by insulting us. But, as these elections proved, nobody likes a political force that screams in opposition and cannot offer an alternative.

Duke pasur parasysh këto gabime të vazhdueshme, që kanë mbjellë një kulturë pafuqie dhe humbësi (të pamerituar) tek demokratët, mendoj dhe besoj se ne duhet të përpiqemi të paktën kësaj here ku kemi arritur, që t’i bëjmë gjërat ndryshe. E provuam disa herë këtë rrugën dhe rezultati qe katastrofik aq sa dhe Shkodra që i duroi dhe 2019 sot nuk është më e jona.

Kësaj i shtohet dhe lufta e brendshme që na ka shpërbërë dhe shkërmoqur thuajse plotësisht. Mbase ia kemi dalë paq me këtë rezultatin kësaj radhe. Por, kjo nuk është garanci për të vazhduar po njësoj.

Prandaj, jemi ne që duhet të ndryshojmë dhe të kemi një qasje tjetër që të jemi shpresë për shqiptarët dhe demokratët. Me pak fjalë të jemi alternativa e një shumice që sot ka votuar me heshtjen e mos-votimit.

Një vit më parë, z. Basha më propozoi që pas dorëheqjes së tij të merrja rolin e kryetares së emëruar të PD. Një mundësi që e refuzova! E risjell në vëmendje këtë ngjarje që mbase pakkush e di, për t’ju evidentuar faktin se nuk po kërkoj sot diçka nga halli im personal apo një ambicie ime e fshehur aty me kujdes. Përkundrazi, qëllimi im është që të nxjerrim nga ky batak ku ka rënë forca jonë politike.

Kam pasur një pozicion në Partinë Demokratike që nga shtator 2021, si zv kryetare e partisë dhe besoj të gjithë e kuptojmë se sa e lehtë ka qënë në situatën ku po operojmë. Mgjs kam punuar e kontribuar shumë, kam menduar se nuk të jep pozicioni rëndësi por të jep puna dhe ndoshta dhe me një modesti të tepruar kam kontribuar shumë e mos pretenduar asgjë.

Nuk ka asgjë të keqe të kesh ambicie në politikë, është njerëzore, por në situatën ku ndodhemi besoj që prevalon interesi i përbashkët më shumë se ai vetjak, e për këtë arsye:

Kam vendosur që të mos e pranoj propozimin e z. Bardhi për drejtimin e komanduar të Partisë Demokratike.

Por, sa kohë që jam këtu dua t’i japim demokratëve një proces real, e një mundësi bashkimi që gjykoj është i rëndësishëm si dhe një proces riorganizimi për një forcë politike moderne. Për këtë arsye propozoj:

1. Ngritjen e një grupi drejtues me 3 persona me eksperiencë të cilët do të çojnë Partinë Demokratike në zgjedhje nga poshtë-lartë. Kjo duhet të përfshijë dhe një proces ri-anëtarësimi duke pasur parasysh situatën reale në të cilën ndodhet sot PD. Sot askush nuk e di anëtarësinë reale të Partisë Demokratike, dhe nuk pranoj dot të më thoni që anëtarësia është e plotë.

2. Hapjen e procesit të analizës dhe nisjen e një diskutimi me demokratët se ku dhe çfarë gabuam. E këtu kam fjalën një analizë reale politike me çdo kuti për të kuptuar potencialin e humbur dhe atë që mund të rifitojmë. Gjithashtu për të dhënë mundësi reale bashkimi në bazë përmes një proces reflektimi pasi ne nuk mund të jemi të hapur me disa; po bashkimi me të gjithë ato demokratë që për 10 vite janë lodhur duke qenë humbës, është e pafalshme dhe e padrejtë të përsërisim 6 marsin e 14 majin.

4. Appointment of 12 leaders for all 12 districts who will start work in the field and will be in support of the temporary leadership group.

5. Agreeing to a process that will do us honor, to promote old and new people with integrity, with meritocracy, without schemes and intrigues, and we will give real time to the democrats to judge about the future" - declares Tabaku.
