From the increase in corruption to concessions, the EBRD presents the 2022-2023 transition report for Albania and "crucifies" the government

In the findings for Albania of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's Transition Report for 2022-2023, the quality of Albania's governance is deteriorating. According to the report, the indicator measuring good governance has dropped from 5.26 points in 2016 to 4.62 points in 2021. According to the report, the main reasons why misgovernance in our country is deepening is the increase in informality and corruption. "Governance results have deteriorated significantly in a number spheres of the economy over the past six years, mainly reflecting increases in informality and perceived corruption as seen, for example, in Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina and a decline in the perceived effectiveness of courts as seen, for example, in Poland. Some sectors of the economy have also seen deteriorations in the independence of the judiciary, 400 projects financed in 2022.
